What happens when you come in to see us?

Your first meeting is free of obligation and cost. Here is how it works.

The financial planning process is about getting to know you, what is important to you and what your financial dreams look like. At the first meeting we spend around 90 minutes gathering a picture of your current situation and assessing your current strategy, and discussing what it is that is important to you about money. We then have a discussion at a higher level of the considerations, opportunities and potential risks that you may face in trying to achieve your short, medium and longer term goals. Again this initial discussion is obligation free and at no cost to you. At this stage we will be able to give you an indication of the costs to prepare and implement your financial plan which is based on time and complexity.

Now we have an understanding of what your goals are and you wish to proceed with a financial plan. We then go away and conduct some research to get a clear understanding of what you have in place and decipher strategies to match your goals. Your financial plan is then drawn up and presented to you.

After the plan is implemented, we maintain structured progress meetings to make sure that we continue to navigate through personal, economic and legislative changes and track the progress towards your goals and objectives.

When will you need us?

A common question people ask is when do we need to see a financial planner?

As life changes, so does the economic and legislative environment in which we live, meaning that what you have been doing up until now, may not be appropriate moving forward. Without reviewing your financial plan regularly, you may not be taking advantage of all the benefits that are available. You may be paying too much tax or over insured which could be costing you money.

We work with clients on specific strategies around setting goals and understanding what is important to you as an individual and then tailoring a strategy to suit your short, medium and long term goals.

It can be a number of life events that may trigger the need to sit down for a meeting:

  1. Saving for something big or something special

  2. Getting or changing jobs or being made redundant
